Sheltering Arms is seeking a Porter for our Facilities. The Porter is responsible for maintaining the premises and its equipment in a clean, safe and sanitary condition.
Completely cleans all facilities.
Cleans and disinfects bathroom and kitchen areas on a regular basis
Sweeps, mops, and waxes floors
Completes all basic repairs to furniture and equipment.
Washes all sinks daily
Replaces light bulbs when necessary
Keeps an inventory of distributed sanitary supplies as needed
Paints and primes walls and ceilings
Keeps inventory for supplies and submits reports
Shovels snow and lays down salt when necessary.
Other duties as assigned
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or relevant vocational training/certifications
Two years of custodial experience
Basic mechanical, plumbing and electrical knowledge
Keen attention to detail
Ability to be a team player, flexible

Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to complete all standard administrative and support tasks including but not limited to climbing up and down stairs, operation of computers/phones/fax/printer/copy machine, and the ability to lift boxes, furniture, and equipment up to 60lbs. Must be able to travel from the various locations and sites of Sheltering Arms. Must be able to go up and down ladders and lift heavy boxes. Must be able to shovel mass amounts of snow. Physical and PPD clearance required.
