Job Summary: The Community School Social Worker will work closely with the Coordinator of the Community School Program and a team of specialized service providers at JHS 022 in order to provide mental health assessments and treatment to students and their families. He/she will liaise with JHS 022 faculty and the in-house team to provide interventions and participate in the development of Individual Education Plans (IEP’s) to ensure that the clinical and psycho-educational needs of students are being met. Clinical intervention will be grounded in the clinical model of youth development, using a strengths-based approach. The social worker will maintain clear and consistent communication with the principal, school faculty, school-based support team, students and their parents.
