Sheltering Arms is seeking a Data Entry Clerk for our Quality Improvement Department. The Data Entry Clerk will enter data into existing data management systems, reconcile data, collect and compile data for report distribution. The Data Entry Clerk maintains existing data management systems, reconciles data, and collects and compiles data for report distribution.

Job Duties

  • Read, know, and adhere to all governing agency, Sheltering Arms, and Quality Improvement Department requirements and professional conduct expectations.
  • Enter information accurately into assigned systems.
  • Produce timely scheduled & requested reports to meet agency need.
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of data entry and organized record-keeping.
  • Assist and support other departments and QI team with tracking and monitoring of compliance of agency programs.
  • Assist in coordinating data compliance as it relates to billing, monitoring & evaluation.
  • Respond to information requests as needed.
  • Connections Security Coordination and maintain Connections mailbox.
  • Maintain Incident mailbox and database, and verify accuracy of incident reports as they are submitted.
  • Assist in verification of EChange accuracy and maintain EChange mailbox.
  • Awareness of and sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of persons and population served.
  • Responsible for maintaining and ensuring compliance with client and agency confidentiality standards and ethical expectations.
  • Responsible for participating in staff development, including attendance in training as required and/or requested.
  • Perform some administrative responsibilities for the department.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented,  flexible, and organized.  
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments, take initiative and troubleshoot. 
  • Willingness and ability to learn new systems and skills.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • May require a flexible schedule


  • High school diploma required; some college preferred.
  • Some experience in data entry and/or data manipulation required.
  • Demonstrated skill in Word, Excel, and Access, and knowledge of management information systems.

Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to complete all standard administrative and support tasks including but not limited to climbing up and down stairs, operation of computers/phones/fax/printer/copy machine, and the ability to lift boxes, furniture, and equipment up to 30lbs. Must be able to travel from the various locations and sites of Sheltering Arms Children and Family Services

This position requires some experience in data entry and/or data manipulation as well as demonstrated skill in Word, Excel, and Access, and knowledge of management information systems.
