Clinical Supervisor

Sheltering Arms is currently seeking Clinical Supervisor that would be responsible for clinical and administrative supervision of agency’s Mental Health programming. Works closely with Director Mental Health to identify problems and facilitate the smooth operation of clinic operations and the integration of mental health services with other program divisions and administrative departments.

Essential Functions

  • Provide clinical supervision to full-time, fee-for-service and social work intern psychotherapists at all Safe Space certified clinic and satellite locations, including the monitoring of and reporting to the Director on high risk cases.
  • Review clinical records to ensure compliance with federal, state and city regulations for services and reimbursement.
  • Coordinate intake and admissions process, including performing screenings, assessments and participating in admissions decisions.
  • Provide direct individual, group and family clinical, case management and advocacy services to clients; including own caseload as assigned.
  • Respond to crises during and after clinic hours.
  • Monitor and report on worker productivity to Director and senior management.
  • Participate in the development of clinic policies and procedures.
  • Plan, facilitate and participate in clinical case conferences, trainings, and staff meetings.
  • Actively promote, facilitate and track the coordination and integration of care of clients jointly served by Safe Space programs and other community providers.
  • Coordinate and participate in special projects, grants, initiatives and programs.
  • Facilitate and participate in intra-agency committees and workgroups.
  • Represent the agency at meetings, conferences, workshops, public forums and events.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


  • Master of Social Work from an Accredited Program
  • New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker
  • SIFI Certified
  • 3-5 years of Clinical experience
  • Ability to use an Electronic Medical Record
