Sheltering Arms is currently seeking Child Care Workers for our Group Homes in the Bronx. The CCW will work with difficult to place Foster Care youth, supervising and directing them, and providing assistance with the record keeping, and performing any duties necessary for the overall care and well being of the youth in the program.


• Provide attention and support of medical issues, students educational/vocational needs, casework and clinical appointments
• Coordinate individual activities and group activities such as sports, games, trips
• Log all reports, incident reports, and inform the social worker and supervisors of any issues related to children
• Provide basic care; health, safety, meals, snacks

• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience working with children and some college preferred
• Possess a strong belief in people’s ability to grow and change
