We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to work at our Health Services Clinic. Our clinic offers dental, pediatric, mental health and nutrition care for the children and youth in our foster care and juvenile justice programs.  The clinic is located in the South Bronx, close to a major subway hub.  The administrative assistant will act as the receptionist for our clinic.  This person will work during our clinic’s regular business hours, Monday through Friday.  This person will frequently be interacting with patients and their families, in addition to the medical personnel and staff who work at the clinic. 

Essential Functions:

  • Greeting and scheduling patients
  • Reminding patients and families of appointments, confirming appointments
  • Assisting with billing
  • Answering and routing calls
  • Filing documents in medical record
  • Order office supplies


Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
  • 2 years’ experience in health care setting
  • Computer literacy
  • Excellent communication skills
