The Clinical Director is responsible for the clinical, operational, and administrative oversight of the of the Family Connections (FC) Bronx Evidenced Based program.  Clinical Director provides on-going supervision to assigned Team and support staff. Clinical Director will assure the appropriate and effective delivery of quality Preventive Services via the EBM FC model as well as compliance with model fidelity and ensuring that quality practice guidelines are in accordance with Child welfare, OCFS and agency standards and policies.


Essential Functions:

  • Supervise (1) Part time Supervisor, an Administrative Assistant and a Masters level intern and provide ongoing oversight around Family Connections (FC) EBM model fidelity, compliance and required tasks.
  • Monitor compliance around weekly Clinical group supervision and Administrative supervision for FC Case planners.
  • Oversight and monitoring of Individual supervision focusing on therapist/CP development and review of sessions.
  • Schedule regular staff meetings, Monitors and evaluates job performances, recommends personnel actions, including promotions and terminations. 
  • Regularly reviews and provides oversight of all Connections documentation by Supervisor and random reviews of CP documentation, oversight of PROMIS data, court documents and all related paperwork to assure compliance with all city and state requirements.
  • Oversight of Team compliance with Family Team Conferences as to attendance, issues addressed and follow up actions required by the agency.
  • Take referrals and complete screening for program eligibility.
  • Track data needed for fidelity assessment and program performance review (referrals, intake, FC assessment completion, LOS etc.)
  • Work with Division Director and QI FC consultant on completing the semiannual FC Self-assessment.
  • Train case planner in skills needed to build competency to carry out FC services (if FC training not available immediately after hire).
  • Facilitate outreach for FC program.
  • Works cooperatively with FSS Division Director in establishing QI and internal systems as needed to meet evolving program requirements. Compiling and preparing Quarterly program data from PROMIS as well as submitting monthly reports in PROMIS.
  • Work with FSS Division Director to research and analyze member or community needs to determine program directions and goals. 
  • Work with ACS liaisons and monitors to ensure compliance and standards of the program.
  • Establish and oversee administrative procedures to meet program objectives, policies and procedures.
  • Attend provider and Family Connections meetings monthly;
    • Family Connections Provider meeting
    • Implementation Team Meeting
    • Family Connections Bronx Advisory Board Meeting
    • Bronx PPRS Meetings
    • FC Paperwork Workgroup
    • Attend and participate in additional meetings and workgroups as needed for program sustainability. 


  • LMSW or equivalent Mental Health License
  • Three years of Post master’s supervisory experience in child welfare and family services.
  • Clinical child welfare practice experience a plus
  • Knowledge of ACS preventive services system
  • Knowledge of Connections
  • Experience managing Evidence Based child welfare programming
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal communication, writing and organizational skills; Demonstrated commitment to family-centered child welfare service delivery and Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
