Family Team Conference Facilitator Supervisor

Essential Functions:

  • Provide weekly supervision to FTC Facilitators and schedule regular group supervision meetings.
  • Monitors and evaluates FTC facilitators’ job performance, recommends personnel actions, including promotions and terminations. 
  • Regularly reviews all FTC related Connections and PROMIS data entries, court documents and FTC paperwork to assure compliance with all city and state requirements.
  • Works cooperatively with FSS Director and QI Team in reviewing and establishing FTC and internal systems as needed to meet evolving FTC program requirements.
  • Responsible for following and training staff on all new procedures and policies related to ACS Initiative around FTC guidelines.
  • Oversight and monitoring of Facilitators duties around Maintaining contact with Program staff to ensure conferences are conducted within the Family to Family Model while adhering to strict time lines and exhibit the values of inclusion, partnership, honesty, respect, and family strengths during conferences
  • Oversight and monitoring of Facilitators duties around completing and distributing written documentation of conferences as required.
  • Prepare data around overall Tracking of FTC’s, follow up of service planning after conferences and completing compliance reports as requested.
  • Attend meetings in the community as requested
  • Participate in relevant agency committees
  • Oversight and monitoring of Facilitators duties around maintaining and ensuring compliance with client and agency confidentiality standards and ethical expectations
  • Oversight of Facilitators in Reviewing and monitoring monthly casework contacts in Connections, and follow up with case planners for compliance.
  • Performs other duties as delegated



  • Master’s Degree in related field and at least 2 years Supervisory experience.
  • Successful completion of the Administration for Children Services (ACS) Family Team Conference Facilitator Training upon hire
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish speaking preferred
  • Prior group work experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the New York State Child welfare system.
  • Competence to visualize presented permanency plans to determine overall feasibility while ensuring child safety standards are maintained
  • Awareness of and sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of persons and population served, inclusive of those from the LGBTQ community.
  • Ability to utilize professional interpersonal skills when initiating and discussing difficult topic matter involving the overall safety and welfare of children in alternative care
  • Capacity to remain objective while guiding the group’s discussion towards measurable and obtainable goals relating to the care, safety, well-being, and subsequent permanency of the identified child (ren).
  • Knowledge of CONNECTIONS and Microsoft Office
  • Flexibility for evening and Saturday hours required
