Sheltering Arms is seeking a Case Aide for our General Preventive program located in Queens. The overall purpose of the Case Aide is to assist the Case planner in all efforts of working with the family.


Essential Functions

  • Assists Case Planners with outreach attempt to clients who miss appointments or fail to keep intake interview.
  • Provides escort services to client at hospitals and schools as needed.
  • Acts as a role model for parents, and provide home management skills to parents during home visits.
  • Assists in the monitoring of drug tests for FT/R clients.
  • Assists in the scheduling of FTC Conferences.
  • Assists in the facilitation of groups and workshops.
  • Records and maintains separate file on observations made at the homes of clients, and children in the play areas of suspected signs of abuse or neglect, and bring information immediately to the attention of Supervisor.
  • Performs other duties assigned by Supervisor.


  • High school or GED required.
