Sheltering Arms is seeking a CASAC worker who under the supervision of the Director will be responsible for providing individual and group treatment for clients, develop individual treatment plans, provide crisis consultations, maintain client case records, document according to all funding source requirements, submit statistical data and reports, attend weekly supervision, participate and facilitate case conferences, conduct staff trainings on substance abuse topics and perform other additional tasks as delegated by supervisor.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Conducting continuous bio-psychosocial assessments
  • Coordinating the development and implementation of the multidisciplinary treatment plan, with treatment team.
  • Coordinating treatment plan review and performing these activities within established time frames.
  • Conduct some Home Visits in which family’s progress with the treatment plan is assessed in the home environment.
  • Documenting patient progress and clinical intervention in the case record.
  • Coordinating treatment services with collateral agencies, performing utilization review, documenting progress reports in a timely fashion, developing and discussing aftercare plans with referring persons/ agencies, EAPs, managed care / insurance entities.
  • Engaging the patient in the treatment plan process, utilizing patient input into the treatment plan and finalizing the plan with the patient
  • Performing crisis intervention and problem resolution for patients in need. Coordinating efforts with treatment staff and documenting same in the case record.

 

Qualifications:

  • BA or MSW or Masters in a related field required
  • CASAC Certified
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Experience in a child welfare setting
  • Group facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of community resources and of the child welfare system and family dynamics
  • Computer literate
