Sheltering Arms is seeking a Q.I Coordinator Medicaid Redesign to Monitor and evaluate programs. Collects, compiles and analyzes programmatic data and generates reports for tracking, monitoring, and ongoing quality improvement for designated program(s). Tracks compliance and submits reports as requested. Works with the QI Team to coordinate agency-wide and program quality improvement initiatives.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all governing agency, Sheltering Arms, and Quality Improvement Department requirements, schedules, and professional conduct expectations
  • Coordinate on-going self-assessment practices, monitor program performance, and facilitate and organize quality improvement initiatives and activities
  • Research best practices and work with program(s) to implement best practices and model fidelity
  • Work with program(s) to design and implement monitoring and tracking systems
  • Use data, reports, and tracking systems to monitor and provide feedback on performance 
  • Work with the program(s) to develop and implement action plans, business processes, and policy and procedure
  • Monitor & Evaluate in accordance with agency standards, governing agency requirements, and accreditation standards
  • Work with program(s) to prepare for external (e.g. governmental and accreditation) reviews/audits
  • Conduct and coordinate case file reviews
  • Assist with data reconciliation and clean-up
  • Represent the agency at community and funder meetings
  • Participate in relevant agency committees
  • Awareness of and sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of persons and population served
  • Responsible for maintaining and ensuring compliance with client and agency confidentiality standards and ethical expectations
  • Responsible for participating in staff development, including attendance in training as required and/or requested
  • May require a flexible schedule
  • Support the implementation, principles and goals of the programs’ practice model
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Administration or related field; Master degree preferred.
  • Three years of relevant experience in Medicaid services/Billing, social service systems and/or QA/QI
  • Ability to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented, flexible, organized and an effective communicator
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, and Access and knowledge of management information systems
  • Strong knowledge of OPWDD/OMH/Medicaid regulations and agency procedures
  • Knowledge of EHR
  • Willingness and ability to learn new systems
