Quality Improvement Coordinator ( Clinical Services)

Sheltering Arms is looking to hire a Quality Improvement Coordinator who Collects, compiles and analyzes programmatic data and generates reports for tracking, monitoring, and ongoing quality improvement for designated program(s). Tracks compliance and submits reports as requested.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with the QI Team to coordinate agency-wide and program quality improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate on-going self assessment practices, monitor program performance, and facilitate and organize quality improvement initiatives and activities.
  • Research best practice and work with program(s) to implement best practice and model fidelity.
  • Work with program(s) to design and implement monitoring and tracking systems
  • Use data and tracking systems to monitor and report program performance
  • Work with the program(s) to develop and implement policy and procedure
  • Work with program(s) to prepare for governmental and Council on Accreditation reviews/audits, as well as assure that all programs are providing services in accordance with agency standards, federal, state and city regulations, and the guidelines of the Council on Accreditation
  • Conduct and coordinate case file reviews
  • Assist with data reconciliation and clean-up
  • Represent the agency at community and funder meetings
  • Participate in relevant agency committees
  • Awareness of and sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of persons and population served
  • Responsible for maintaining and ensuring compliance with client and agency confidentiality standards and ethical expectations
  • Responsible for participating in staff development, including attendance in training as required and/or requested
  • Other duties as assigned
  • May require a flexible schedule
  • Support the implementation, principles and goals of the programs’ practice model.   

Qualifications:

 Education: Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Administration or related field

 Experience:Three years of program experience in juvenile justice or other social service system and/or 

QA/QI.

Skills:

  • Ability to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented, flexible,
  • organized and an effective communicator. Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, and Access and
  • knowledge of management information systems. Knowledge of Connections and CCRS preferred.   
  • Willingness and ability to learn new systems.

Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to complete all standard administrative and support tasks including but not limited to climbing up and down stairs, operation of computers/phones/fax/printer/copy machine, and the ability to lift boxes, furniture, and equipment up to 30lbs. Must be able to travel from the various locations and sites of Sheltering Arms. Ability to perform physical restraint of youth using approved restraint techniques. Physical and PPD clearances required and reevaluated annually.
