Quality Improvement Coordinator

Sheltering Arms is seeking to hire a Quality Improvement Coordinators to Collect and compile programmatic data and generate reports for tracking, monitoring, and ongoing quality improvement for agency programs in addition to the following

  • Track compliance and submits reports as requested.
  • Works with the QI Team to coordinate agency-wide and program quality improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate agency-wide and programmatic self assessment activities, monitor program performance and model fidelity, and facilitate and organize quality improvement initiatives.
  • Research best practice and work with assigned programs to implement best practice & specific program models, design & implement monitoring systems, and develop & implement policy & procedure.
  • Monitor and coordinate compliance for designated agency programs/departments, including adherence to professional/ethical practice, agency standards, federal, state and city regulations, and the guidelines of the Council on Accreditation.
  • Use data and tracking systems to assess, monitor and report program performance and determine ongoing improvement needs.
  • Work with assigned programs to prepare for governmental and Council on Accreditation reviews/audits.
  • Coordinate data integrity and management.
  • Design, produce and analyze reports.
  • Review files and other documentation as requested.
  • Participate in investigations as requested.
  • Demonstrate consistently an awareness of and sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of persons and population served in the course of all job responsibilities.
  • Participate in staff development, including attendance in training as required and/or requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • May require a flexible schedule.



   Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Administration or related field  

   Experience: Minimum two years experience in child welfare, education or other social service system,

   and experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement.

   Skills: Ability to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented, flexible,

  organized and an effective communicator. Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, and Access and

  knowledge of management information systems. Knowledge of Connections and CCRS preferred.  

 Willingness and ability to learn new systems.

Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to complete all standard administrative and support tasks including but not limited to climbing up and down stairs, operation of computers/phones/fax/printer/copy machine, and the ability to lift boxes, furniture, and equipment up to 30lbs. Must be able to travel from the various locations and sites of Sheltering Arms
