Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, this individual will be responsible for the direct supervision of four Case Planners.  Program Supervisor will assure the appropriate and effective delivery of quality Preventive Services via the EBM FC model as well as compliance with model fidelity and ensuring that quality practice guidelines are in accordance with Child welfare, OCFS and agency standards and policies.


Essential Functions:

  • Provides weekly clinical group supervision and Administrative supervision for Family Connections Case planners.
  • Provides Individual supervision focusing on therapist/CP development and review of sessions (at least 1 hour per week)
  • Regularly reviews and provides oversight of EBM FC required documentation and Connections documentation by case planners.
  • Supervisor will provide ongoing reviews of CP documentation, oversight of PROMIS data, court documents and all related paperwork to assure compliance with FC EBM, ACS/ city and state requirements.
  • Assistance with oversight of Team compliance with Family Team Conferences as to attendance, issues addressed and follow up actions required by the agency.
  • Supervise 4 case planers.
  • Facilitating weekly clinical group supervision.
  • Train case planner in skills needed to build competency to carry out FC services (if FC training not available immediately after hire).
  • Ensure continuous coverage of caseloads in the event assigned Case Planner(s) is out of work for vacation, FMLA etc.
  • Assess staff development to provide support to staff.  Identify training and development opportunities.
  • Supervisor to have the ability to motivate and guide staff.
  • Assist with completing annual employee appraisals.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Clinical Director.


  • Supervisory experience in child welfare and family services required
  • Clinical child welfare practice experience a plus
  • Knowledge of ACS preventive services system
  • Knowledge of Connections
  • Experience managing Evidence Based child welfare programming
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal communication, writing and organizational skills; Demonstrated commitment to family-centered child welfare service delivery and Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
