Job Summary: The Director of Youth Services provides comprehensive oversight for residential services for homeless youth, youth centers for community-based participants, and services for youth involved in the juvenile justice.  These programs are based in Queens, Manhattan and the Bronx. 

Essential Functions

  • Provides ongoing supervision and support to Program Coordinators, Program Directors, and Program Managers who directly oversee the Youth Programs. 
  • Sets goals with visible benchmarks as a standard for each program so that each may improve programmatic outcomes. 
  • Provides clinical supervision to management to ensure that each youth receives quality-driven counseling and/or mental health services.
  • Develops additional project-based initiatives for each program to enhance the services provided to youth. 
  • Networks in the communities of Queens, Manhattan and the Bronx to build sound and amenable relationships with community leaders and organizations.  
  • Ensures that each program remains compliant according to the standards of the funder including but not limited to: DYCD, HUD, DOP.
  • Assists program staff to develop methods of data collection and related tools to capture the progress towards desired outcomes. 
  • Works closely with Human Resources, Quality Improvement, Development, and Finance in order to provide administrative support to the youth programs. 
  • Other related responsibilities as needed.




  • Master’s in Social Work or Related Field Required
  • LMSW, LCSW, LCAT, LMHC Preferred
  • At least five years of direct management experience in Youth Services field
  • Excellent organizational skills; Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people and synthesize varying perspectives.
  • Computer and data savvy
  • Must have the ability to engage positively with the youth. 

Salary: 90-100k
