Job Summary: Under the direction of the Information Systems Manager, the Information Management Specialist will be responsible for the performance, integrity, design, and security of agency systems.
Assisting in database design
Updating and amending existing databases
Providing systems support for end users
Setting up and testing new database and data handling systems
Sustaining the security and integrity of data
Training program staff on how to use in house systems
Ensures that all service requests and incidents are logged/updated, addressed/resolved and/or escalated, as needed
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve system issues
Use instructions and pre-established guidelines to conduct work tasks
Work under immediate supervision and follow directions effectively and efficiently
High School diploma required; some college preferred
Relevant experience in customer service and systems management
Proficient in word and excel. Experience working with databases a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of management information systems and data manipulation
Must possess strong interpersonal skills to explain system issues to non-technical personnel.
Must be able to prioritize work and multitask in a fast paced environment.
